Agreed 100%. Although drug addicts usually cause themselves plenty of public humiliation. I've always found it funny that people were always ashamed if the public observed them walking into an AA meeting yet they never seemed to care that people were watching as they peed in the middle of the street.

I've never peed in the street...That's why they created alleys. :lol:

Me too if i was conscious but i can't speak to the times i don't remember i can only believe the stories.

Zackly! Actually, I think all drugs should be legalized. Prescriptions on the biggies (It's unconscionable, IMO that the best pain medicine is not available to terminally ill patients). Never happen though, there's more profit in smuggling.

That would be the end of life for people like me. I'm not sure i could resist heroin if it were legal.

and that's one of my number one reasons for not legalizing.

Without actual legal text I'll have to vote no.
 
I'd say yes, with some control. To allow the free and open sale is wrong. To allow people to buy small quantities and tax it sounds good to me.

And that's the reason we need regulations on it. Although pot is relatively harmless compared with the likes of heroin, it is still a drug and a drug that people can spend way too much time and money on.

The idea being heroin (and certain other drugs in that vein) would be prescribed for specific treatment. Cocaine, for instance, is useful in treating certain mental illnesses, but you can't use it. Marijuana, OTOH, would be controlled like alcohol is now. Legalizing drugs is not the same thing as giving everyone who wants some all they can stand. Right now there is a large, violent population who's job is smuggling illegal drugs. The "war" on drugs is and always has been a joke. Unfortunately, in the political and social climate we live in, the profit from smuggling more than offsets the risk.
