Most of that was directed at someone else, who likes to say the same things to me when I put something out...

Also...the number I've heard here, where I'm at, was "only" 7,000. :rolleyes:

Gato I generalized "many thousand" because I had seen reports from multiple sources of at least several thousand civilian deaths. Now if you add in all the dead Iraqi soldiers I think "many thousands" of dead Iraqis is a fair generalization.
 
BTW...Why is everybody so upset that a few civilians got killed? It's not like the civilians were intentionally targeted, and the numbers during this war were, in terms of modern warfare, almost non-existent. Look at what we could've done...i.e. a BLU/82 right in downtown Baghdad...if we really wanted to kill civilians. If the anti-war folks would actually look at what we did, as to what we could've, then, maybe, they'd understand how much restraint we actually used...

It's a relief to know that some people can still see a comment for what it really is without having to always add "j/k" or :D to the end. Ribbing is often humorous, and if you have to say "I'm joking" all the time, it kind of spoils it. Some people get their panties in such a puss-ball over that.
