What do you think about this digital camera?

whoa.. I'd have to be there in person ... hopefully participating. There is now way in hell that Im going to allow my camera to have a better vacation than I. :D

Were thinking about something on the outskirts of Toronto for the gathering ... Its a good fixed point and only a 1000 mile drive for me. More can attend that way... its just a matter of coordinating the 'when'.

airline flight comes to mind. It would probably be cheaper than my driving all the way over to pick you up and then hauling you over to the shindig. That would be roughly 60 hours of driving on my part. I would be jelly. Then I would have to take you (or both of you) home again, adding another 40 hours. It would be the ultimate test for my poor truck and lower back. A straight shot to Toronto would be a domestic flight for ya.. so the airport hassle would be less and leave me with a dual 18 hour drive. Face it.. you and I live at the edges... we need to close in onto a more central location.

*nudge... Corrie too if shes game* It all depends upon time coordination and general cost. Any idea how much a flight to Toronto would be? Lord knows a decent hotel is going to set me back a bit, probably 150 a night... figure 200 on fuel... 200 on food for a few group meals. its the air tickets that should be the killer though. Keeping it all under 1250 would be the goal (US dollars) Of course if the participants fall through I can just make my way to your side of the world again. Its all up in the air. Time to feel people out, so to speak.

Indeed. I'm also of the opinion that the enitre Cannon line is top notch.

I've been real happy with my Canon PowerShot S30 3-megapixel camera. I just wish whoever keeps touching the lens and putting fingerprints on it would stop it. :grumpy:
