every time I even change pages to search something,
a little box pops up telling me it's time to UPGRADE or UPDATE some shit
Listen, I'm happy with this lil laptop just the way it is-

So does Mac. And when iTunes has an update, it can be pretty insistent.

"A new version of iTunes is available! Do you want to download now?" No, go away.

On any software you install, always look for the upgrade setting and switch it to manual. That way you don't wind up beta testing their fixes for them for free. Finding those settings isn't always easy, since they don't want to you find them, but the help files always tell you where it is.

that is for sure. my friend does that for a "part time job" because he has the skills to do that, i put part time in ("") because he is almost always working.
