I don't watch a lot of sport, but the occational cases I do, it is hockey! HOCKEY!

I voted Football, that is AMERICAN Football, but I will watch just about any of those. Including Golf.

i can't vote, it says football and soccer. given that they are the same what am i to do

Definitions, from Merriam-Webster:

Soccer: a game played on a field between two teams of 11 players each with the object to propel a round ball into the opponent's goal by kicking or by hitting it with any part of the body except the hands and arms

Football: an American game played between two teams of 11 players each in which the ball is in possession of one side at a time and is advanced by running or passing

Simple.

we've had this discussion and the upshot was, america [and pretty much only america] calls football soccer. the rest of the world calls their football american football, and football stays as football.

majority [ie rest of world] wins in this case. notice how fifa has no s for soccer in the title.

I'd rather play soccer. To watch... I don't know. It would be between soccer, football and baseball. It depends on my mood. For football, I prefer college. Pro seems too conservative.
