i don't use us news sources as not in the us, also i tend to spread my information coverage from a variety of sources but often from the same primary lcoation, the bbc.

luis did a poll on tv news sources a while back here

i read newspapers, usually the times and guardian, most weeks
i real the bbc online
i watch bbc news and bbc news24
i recieve quickwire news occaisionally
i listen to bbc radio 4, usually in the mornings

Um, BBC World news has some of the best anti-US and anti-Israeli propeganda in the world. I give them 5 stars for that. I watch BBC World news about 3 times a week just so see what shit they are distributing.

CNN has good coverage, but I don't always appreciate what they do with local news. Their international news are more conservative than BBC, which is what I prefer.

Then I also read msnbc.com and rightwingnews.com :)

CNN has real selective broadcasting too. It's very Pro-America. Can't blame them for that, but I sure don't take things they say for granted.
I don't take anything the media says for granted. The media are the most mind-controlling bastards around. Sorry to say, but it's the truth.

I read 3 newspapers, watch the evening news, and visit app 3 news websites per day. From different countries (US, GB and The Netherlands) to get a kind of overview of the news....

CNN is highly biased as well, i was on holiday in the caribbean, these people from America killed a local, they locked em up and CNN made it look like the Island was some sorta lawless corrupt banana republic, which it was farrrrrrrr from. They even had the prime minister there and made him look pretty dumb on international TV. Btw, the evidence was high in favour of the tourists from America killing the guy, but how DARE they lock up americans huh?

Interesting that non-Amaricans think of cnn as conservative when Americans tend to think of it as Liberal(except for the liberals themselves). I think cnn is liberal & fox is conservative. The only tv news i watch anymore is Hardball. Chris Matthews is a fair guy. Other than that i like to get my tvnews from c-span and the washington journal. I love it. One minute a caller is screaming that they are radical liberals, and next it's someone else screaming that they are part of the conservative militia.

I still belive in the power of the print media. I watch FoxNews for what stories are immediate, then I peruse the internet for more info but the newspapers still have the best overall coverage. (yes, I know most of the papers are online). If you read 3 or 4 stories from varied sources, it's easier to filter out opinion than reading only one source.

Washintgoton Post
NY, London & LA Times
USA Today
local rag
Pravda
Ha'artetz
Drudge

i like the objectivity of BBC, i remember when i read an article there about Malvinas/Falklands. Very nice article, with both sides of the story.

Hm, they never have both sides of the story if Israel or the United States are involved. Every time I watch, it is "the poor Palestinian children and people". Never once do they interview Israeli families devastated by a suicide bombing. They always interview Palestinian families that are dysfunctional because they throw rocks at the Israeli soldiers.

Pretty much the same with the USA. They always cover WHY the USA is so bad, for example the Kyoto protocol. Never once did they go into detailed analysis why the USA is so GOOD to not sign it. Both sides of the story my ass.

well, a few months ago, they blamed palestinian, but then Israel really crossed the line when they started to kill a lot of civilians.

the source didn't mention if it was on purpose or not, they just mention that Israel's army killed a lot of civilians.
