Miracle Whip is mayo with a dash of paprika in it... which apparently transforms the whole magilla in 'salad dressing' for the hardcore. Don't dare call it mayo anymore. Friggin weirdos.

but yeah, the texture i think is why this recipe called for it. it's thicker and more stable.
