I think Cheney has a better in with the real movers and shakers who remain nameless in the background...

A conglomeration of executives from the media, fuels, pharmaceutical & aerosplace companies.

The President is the head of government, nothing more. He has power to make & break treaties with other governments, at the will of said conglomeration. (See China for affects)

tommyj27 i love your Avatar. I used to have one similar to that, it was a beat up wrinkled old black guy wearing a hat that said 'pimp daddy'. Wish i hadn't lost it.

Interesting that no one has yet to choose Carl Rove. In my opinion he has more influence over the president and therefor this nation than any other single individual with the exception of Bush himself. Dick Cheney has influence but much of his power is more an illusion put forth by democrats imo. Rove is a hidden force. I think i'll come back and ask this question again in a couple of years.

Which country??? I suppose you could say that George Bush could be considered to be in more control of Great Britain than Tony Blair at times... ?(

You speak the truth Arris. Great Britain will only lose its voice from here on out. You might as well join us. If you don't you'll simply be assimilated into the EU after the fall of the UN.

"RESISTANCE IS FUTILE... YOU WILL JOIN THE US COLLECTIVE..." :D :D :D

if bush were properly in charge we'd spot the spelling mistakes and coffee stains on the army maps.

Let's cut this guy some slack. I'm leaning away from him so it's not support I offer but a few simle facts. He may not be a Rhodes Scholar (which certainly didn't make for a great prez) but these are not easy achievments.

College
Yale University, bachelor's degree, history

Graduate School
Harvard University, Master of Business Administration

Career and Public Service
Owner, oil and gas business
Partner, Texas Rangers Baseball Team
Governor of Texas
President of the United States

It's one of our national past-times - beating political figures over the head with a long stick. Don't spoil our fun. :D
