I grabbed one of his ties today. We came across one of his shirts NWT (new with tags) originally priced at $88 so I know it's at least trendy if not quality...hoping the tie will do well, shame it doesn't match the shirt.

I wear ties to work a few times a year.
I don't mind them.

What do you do when you're not out on a boat anyway?

Wow...it took me like 5 tries to make that say "boat" and not "boar"...do you spend much time on boars? My subconscience seems to think so.
 
I'm a carpenter apprentice. No money around here doing it.....

I make over 2x as much at sea :D

I don't have too much time at sea as of now, maybe few month in total. I have spent all my time ashore training, and doing port security as RHIB maintainer.

I got the word yesterday that I will be sailing on the East Coast (out of Halifax) VERY soon,, leaving in a week or two for about a month. After that I will come home for a few weeks, and head out the Esquimalt B.C. and sail on the West coast for a a few months. I have no idea where I am going yet on either coast.

used to wear them all the time. love itialian silk from NY. a friend had a suit shop here that he was the buyer. I always got great one of a kind ties. But they were not cheap. 70-120 usually.

I have about 35 hanging in the closet now.
 
I own 3 ties. Two are AF Blue, and one is shiney silver, to go with my shiny silver shirt...I rarely wear any, but I wear the blue ones more often.
