Countdown to global catastrophe
Climate change: report warns point of no return may be reached in 10 years, leading to droughts, agricultural failure and water shortages
By Michael McCarthy, Environment Editor
24 January 2005

The global warming danger threshold for the world is clearly marked for the first time in an international report to be published tomorrow - and the bad news is, the world has nearly reached it already.

The countdown to climate-change catastrophe is spelt out by a task force of senior politicians, business leaders and academics from around the world - and it is remarkably brief. In as little as 10 years, or even less, their report indicates, the point of no return with global warming may have been reached.

Actually, no. To be exact the findings are those published by an independent international climate change task force..that is, reasearchers and proffesionals around the world united towards doing something to get through to people about it...

Similar stories (albiet those more objective and less opinion-orientated) are published in dozens of papers around the world today... i ;)

CNN NZ Herald MSNBC The Scotsman
CBS
ABC

compare the above articles with this comparatively biased one that takes a spin from a uniquely and blatantly *edited by the fascist because it's ungoodspeak angle:

As far as Climate Change is concerned, it feels a tad pathetic to take something like this piece (as finely written as it might be) and make it serve the purpose of ridiculing the issue at large in the way that it is.

To do that you would be merely providing weak accusations which are not only entirely distracting from the actual issue but also in conflict with the very real empirical evidence that keeps turning up in research and articles and has been for dozens of years; and now it isn't something we can afford to ignore. You would be dismissing the findings of thousands of climatologists and theorists that are all
in concensus that the issue is real and measurable, and is something that needs to be attacked by world leaders, if they care about the future state of the planet and the environment for generations to come, today.

The guys (and Gals) that put this crap out should go get real jobs.
Mebbe driving fuel trucks in Tikrit for example?

1. The climate changes all the time.
2. We are all going to die.

Cause & effect, man, cause & effect. If we'd eat yellow berries from green bushes & live in caves & walk everywhere & disable all the modern utiltities, we'd live forever. A little bird told me that. Before it died of CO poisoning in the coal mine.
