One of the many nice things about the '62 Fairlane is that it's easy to get to just about anything under the hood.

As with *almost* anything RWD. You could set up a lawn chair to sit in under the hood while changing the plugs in my F150.

Chcr, does the TA have the LS1 in it, or is it older? My friends' brother has a 94 Formula and I swear half the engine is under the windshield. :eek:

Older, it's an 84. 305HO. The distributor is under the windshield. You're right about RWD vehicles being generally easier to work on, unfortunately, the little red TransAm is one of the exceptions. It's easy to forget that on an empty, twisty road though.
