YOU

This is the very last picture that has been taken of me.

Just over a week ago at the Damage control school in Halifax doing a fire fighting refresher.

I'l the one looking to the right.

Those look like overly inflated OBA's.

They're called CHEMOX. BLEH! I hate them.

If you crush the lungs, you lose your air... then you're screwed.

They are replacing them with compressed air tanks soon though! :)

Oh really? Did they work the same way with the green canister you have to insert and activate?

did they allow you to activate the canister using the "candle" at the bottom?

We used to do it that way, but there have been many that have caught on fire using the candle.. so now we have to activate it "manually".

Were yours fitted with the "candle" that you just pull to start?
I seem to remember that was possible...some of the Damage Control Specialists had done something like that...but it wasn't kosher for the rest of us.

I haven't had my picture taken... well, since my current av (time to update, right?). I gotta get one of me on my new toolbox (it can probably take more weight than the Chevy Cavalier, it's solid), perhaps saying "you need a big toolbox when you've got big..." :D
