Beer: What makes a good one, or a bad one?

Sure ... if you consider it that way ... white glue makes a pretty good lube ... if you're not gonna be long.

Al, price should not be ones first choice when it comes to beer. I would rather go without than drink cheap shit like that.

hmmm. well thar's nothing in my fridge but the proto-wife will be home with a sixer soon. probably either fat tire (fort collins, CO) or mirror pond (somewhere, oregon). best out here is mac and jack's african amber, brewed in redmond, WA, home of microsoft.

i've found lately that - and this is disturbing - i can only drink one or two highly hopped beers without getting a headache. which sucks. i've been swooning wheat beer a lot lately, because i don't get a headache, at all, no matter how many i guzzle. BTW folks wheat beers are much better WITHOUT the stupid lemon.

Nothing makes a good beer, everything about beer makes it bad...before anyone starts saying "You've never had a good beer then"...actually, I've never had a beer of the common budweiser/labatt blue, etc type...I've tried Rickard's Red, Guiness and some apple cider beer...didn't like any of them.

I do however LOVE Amaretto!! Prof

I was raised on Labatt Blue. Still drink it from time to time. At the moment I'm infatuated with Mike's Hard Lemonade. I believe if I had to, I could live off of it. Unfortunately I only have one left in the fridge, and no money/desire to go spend another $10 in gas to go get another $6 6-pack of it.

Mike's is dangerous. It's so darn delicious and you can't taste the alcohol...and then you go and stand up and *plop*

The best drink for that is killer koolade. 8oz cranberry juice, 1oz vodka, 3/4oz melon liqueur & 1/4 amaretto. Serve cold with ice cubes. The colder the better.
Most places put too much amaretto and it ruins the taste.
