I think it's funny. If people truly hate the US, then why don't they go live somewhere else? Surely there must be another country out there that they think is more moral, and more deserving of their presence.

You know, you're right. I love this country, even when it pisses me off. I guess that's not the same as "love it or leave it." I guess I just thought we'd outgrown that whole thing years ago. I don't know why. Gonz is 100% right about CNN, though. What else don't the fuckers tell us?!?!?!?

Well you're not going to leave home just because you're having a family crisis. rather you work to make the situation better. You know, i know the sentiment that you guys are speaking of but i think i hear it refferred to 10x more than i hear Americans saying they hate America. That's kind of like saying, "I'd really love you if you were six inches taller, had blonde hair, blue eyes and a completely different personality." They hate what America is and they want to turn it into something else. There are already a variety of socialist countries in the world. Let them go live in one of those, and leave us to wallow in our capitalist hell.

See, I disagree with you Gonz. The theory is evil too. The theory says that one set of people (the productive) should be looted in favor of another set of people (the less productive, or totally unproductive).

Some jobs are more productive than other jobs. Communist theory says that regardless of how productive you are, you're not going to benefit from it over and above what everyone else gets. You'll get the same amount of food, the same housing, the same clothing, the same everything. The guy who sweeps the factory floor will get the same as the guy who invented the machinery that powers the factory. In my book, that makes the inventor a slave-- and that's evil.

The sweeper is less glorifying but is he less productive? Without him the grand machinery would get all mucked up from dust & filth & fail to function.

In an idealic setting, all would find a perfect fit, all would enjoy their work & be productive contributing members of society without the trapings of consumerism. They would produce because they want to...

That's why it won't & can't work.
