Egypt falling, Israel is next

Turning the Egypt over to the Muslim Brotherhood bad
Turning Iran over to Ayatollah Khomeini bad
Operation Ajax: What should be happening right now
Obama's attempts to destabilize the region for his own gain
now that's outright insane!

Cat, go read about the Shah, Jiminiy Carter & the hostage crisis.

Now, replace Iran with Egypt & Obama with Carter.

Oh, from what I've heard, the Muslim Brotherhood has been outlawed in Egypt since 1954. Not exactly favored sons.

I wish they would stop calling them pro-democracy protesters
There has never been nor will there ever be a democracy there.
They are no where near enough civilized to have one.

don't need to read the book, I saw it all live, or as close as live could be then.

Unfortunately Carter is a Ga boy, and there was high hopes 'round here for him.

Egypt isn't the same, as I said aerier, but there are similarities.

I agree. Democracy has become a catch-phrase for evil tyrants. Ask Saddam.

I disagree. Unfortunately, as long as they prefer some form of theocracy to a republic, they'll never have freedom.

several members of the Egypt gov. are being arrested.
The Mubarak people are afraid, and seem baffled that the protesters
are peaceful today after all the violence yesterday.

It's far more damaging to the regime that they are being so peaceful.

They may have a shot at freedom yet.

A short time after we started our shooting, cameraman Olaf Wiig was threatened by a small group of pro-Mubarak thugs.

We ducked down an alley. It turned out to be a dead end, so we dashed into a nearby building.

At first it was a perfect vantage point to cover the street battle. Then it quickly turned into a battle station for the pro-government side
