it's about 2 hours before the doctor opens

What about this wonderful socialist medicine? They don't have 24 hour hospitals/clinics? Or is that not a problem in Kiwiland yet?

dry lips, nausea, extreme shaking that has now subdued, headache, fevered hot head, possible heart palpitations...It is upper left quadrant under rib cage - feels like cramping; he has diarrhoea, and is extremely cold, but hot to touch
sorry for the late reply...

very dehydrated. could be galbladder or liver. tough to tell without seeing and examining him but my money is on gallbladder.

and best get him to a hospital for hydration at the very least.

Yes they have 24 hour emergency clinics that cost an arm and a leg.
Just got back from the doctor's ... she reckons it's food poisoning; now we play the waiting game.

Gato, I've had a spider bite before, trust me, you know when you have one of those. ::shudder::

I'm glad he's not dying.

So the 24 hour clinics aren't part of the socialist medicine program?

The BF has all of the above symptoms; it's about 2 hours before the doctor opens - Dave, you online? Can you give me an idea what this might be? His feet and hands are extremely cold, he can't get warm, dry lips, nausea, extreme shaking that has now subdued, headache, fevered hot head, possible heart palpitations, etc. We both ate tuna steak last night, but I'm not affected. Was walking around in the mid-day heat with it yesterday, but had it on ice. Food poisoning?

sounds like the flu-as for heart palps....dehydration can cause that. The shaking is from the fever......Hope all is well, goodluck, feel better! :sadhug:

If he was pregnant, I'd hate to imagine that that kind of gas is normal.
Day 3, he's back to work. I can't believe all that came from food poisoning.

Anyone remember the old Cosby Show episode where all the guys were preg? Bill Cosby gave birth to a six-foot submarine sandwich. :D

the worst is not knowing if it's just gas, or if it's bringing a friend to the party.

It's certainly messy, whatever it's called. Last time that happened to me, the undies were left in the trash can of the public can here at the office.

I'd be afraid to go commando the rest of the day if that happened to me; the likelihood of a secondary attack is too great.
