Hate crime rears it's ugly head

What if she was raped because she was white? Would that be a hate crime? What if it was because she was a woman?

Depends on the epitaphs they yelled out while doing it, doesn't it? Also, if she was an identifyable minority in the area.

The same would apply if the victim was wearing a hijab and they were shouting anti-muslim epitaphs, or a wearing a nun's habit and they were shouting anti-christian epitaphs etc etc..

Lesbian, hijhab, cross, white, black...none of it matters. The act is vile & needs to be added to the death sentence structure. At laest with death, the victim no longer cares. Rape is rape, no matter the extenuating factors.

it is a useful term because it means someone that you knew did the raping.

Not so much confused as intermingling. "Date rape" is rape with an unneeded modifier. Anyone can be a rapist, strangers need not apply.

What does the description have to do with anything, on a legal basis? If you want adjectives, read the paper. "Hate crime" is just another ploy at making an excuse.

Well, if they were trying to kill her also, then maybe "epitaths" would be closer to the truth.
