Hmm a suggestion

The default date() function when joining is: n-j-Y g:i a

That is a mathmetician's way of writing a date... How about changing it to D M d, Y g:i a, which is a bit more English? :)

This place is based out of the states. We use a month-day-year format.
And? So is what I'm suggesting. Its just that

11-25-2002 1:23 pm looks ugly, versus Mon Nov 25, 2002 1:23 pm looks nicer and easier to read.

And please fix the JOINED DATE

leave it the way it is :headbang:
Nah, the purpose of a forum is to be an effective communication tool, and thus you follow the English way, not some abstract programmer's way of expressing dates... :p

It may be a common language... but the methodologies are leagues apart.
*taps his foot* Open the Observer... Even they don't use numbers for months but the month name itself. Its merely a recommendation. :)

It's better to use numbers for the month
Nah, then newspapers, magazines, and books would all use it. Humans use words. Computers like numbers. I'm a human. I like words. If someone gives me the date 8-25-2002 I always need to double check which month is the 8th month. Now give me September 25, 2002 and I'm happy.

Its just a suggestion for the default date() format anyways, not a change.
