    Why do you ask?

I know you like to encourage people to break the law, but I'm not sure what that has to do with the subject here.

Whaaat????? The half-brother of a US President is a citizen of another country?? And he lives in a shack in a slum and earns a dollar a day? And he got busted for drug possession?? And he's a stoner just like his half-brother??

    Half-brothers of a feather....

Is this story getting the same coverage as the Bush daughters' alcohol-related citations?

Is this story getting the same coverage as Palin's daughter's boyfriend's mother's arrest?

Looks like it's getting even more coverage.

    Because it's importants!

Was wondering who "Omab" was? Now I realize it was a typo.

    So many questions, Cerese. :D

Not as interested in Obama's half-brother, or other family he didn't grow up with. I'm sure the Kenya media is all over them, though.

Bush raised his daughters, so drinking under age would reflect on Bush's ability to raise his daughters. (The apple didn't fall far from the tree.)

Palin? Palin who? Oh, the nut-job from Alaska that ruined McCain's chances of becoming president. Again, she raised her daughter to be a white-trash, under-aged-drinking*, pregnant teen. But this may be all she could aspire to become.
(*reference: daughter's MySpace pictures showing her raiding the family liquor cabinet.)

McCains numbers jumped when he added Gov Palin. They plummeted when he voted for the pretend bank bailout.

I actually know people who just didn't vote. They were set to vote on McCain until Palin was chosen as his running mate. None of them (there were 4 in all) could bring themselves to vote for Barak Obama and couldn't stand the thought of Palin being a heart beat away from the Presidency. So they abstained from voting.

Didn't matter, Texas still went to the Republicans.

I don't understand someone that doesn't vote, just because they don't like either major party/party person.

We can try to avoid making choices by doing nothing..but even THAT is a choice.

    I wouldn't have abstained...I would've spoiled the ballot or, like Gato, done a write-in.

I do. I don't agree with it, but I do understand it. Sometimes it just seems so hopeless.

That's when you vote for Nader or that whacked-out bitch from Georgia that ran for the Green Party this year or something. You throw away your presidential vote, but still vote on your local representative, local ballot measures, school board candidates, etc. Or... can't you just not vote at all for a president but vote on the rest of the ballot?

    This I agree with.

I would have written in "Hilary Clinton" for president if she hadn't pleaded with people to turn their support over to Barak Obama.

John McCain would have been the only Republican I would have considered voting for the office of President... until that freak Palin was picked as running mate. That cinched the deal for me. That and the fact that he lost all his moral compass (and my respect) peddling his soul to the Evangelicals. (John, are you able to look yourself in the mirror anymore? Chrissakes! What a whore you became!)

    Doesn't Texas allow write-in votes?

Gee, and all this time I thought it was the voters who bought into the scam and felt compelled to vote for Obozo but can't explain why they thought he was qualified to be the PoTUS that ruined McCain's chances.

Or maybe the Obama-drama that deliberately talked down the economy and then soothed the minions with claims of how it would arise from the dead renewed and restored under the One's watchful eye that ruined McCain's chances.

Care to expand on why you feel Palin is a "nut-job"?
  19. spike

That would be a silly thing to think.

McCain talked down the economy issues. Remember?

The better candidate won. Get over it.

    Billy Beer anyone?

Obama is President, not some half-brother he might not even know well.

The Bush girls are their own people, and they were not president, so what they do is their own business.

Young Palin was not running for vice president, so what does it matter that she was pregnant.

Why can't people focus on the person, instead of family members?
