I don't put much stock in it when there's a university involved.
I can't recall a single university that is mostly conservative.

Philippines: 32%-57%

Poland: 26%-31%

The Phillipines are currently involved with the Bush War on Terror in their homeland & look how they vote.

Poland, who remembers decades under Soviet supression also have an interesting vote. The others are heavily socialist. hmmmm

forgot to mention they have been doing so for decades, long before Bush started his war.

Yep & still they know a strong leader ;)

bullshit. you're trying to make it sound as their fight against terrorists is part of Bush' global terrorist extermination project. which it definately is not.

besides that, in your propaganda and altered-fact mood, you also forgot to mention that the philippine government has pulled out of iraq as well, after terrorists threats. definately not the best reason to do so, but it does prove that the philippine government doesn't follow the 'great leader' blindlessly

They want terrorists dead. We want terrorists dead. Sounds like a plan. Nice choice of wording though Shadow, "terrorist extermination project"...going soft on stopping the enemy?

Altered facts? Where?

The poll was done by asking the people who'd they vote for, not asking the government. It seems the people know a leader when they see one.

well, that is the general idea, right? to get rid of all the terrorists. where exactly did i mention anything bad against that idea? ah, i didn't.

altered facts? maybe a better choice of words would have been "interpretation of facts"
you see a poll, which states that at this moment, more people in the philippines like to have bush as president of the US than Kerry.
so...you say that they are involved with the "Bush War on Terrorism".

nope, not true. they are involved in getting rid of terrorists, yes. in their own country. which they have been doing for decades.
plus they withdrawled from Iraq, which, together with Afghanistan, is the center point of Bush' War on Terrorism.
so you definately can't say they're joining Bush in his war on terrorism.

point 2: yes, it's about what the people would vote. more people would have voted for bush than for kerry. well, yippie-ki-yay. those two are the only two options they have. the whole lesser-of-two-evil concept.
the poll states that more people would vote for bush there, than for kerry. this is a fact, for the people they questioned. and then you say that means that they know a strong leader. which is totally subjective.

get my point? probably not.

Exterminating is a phrase usually reserved for killing an individual or for very nasty stuff like Germany exterminating the Jews. I suppose it fits but it seems an odd choice.

The Phillipines is one of the nations that the US is currently very active in our war on terror. We are training their military & are actively involved with terror hunts with them so they are part of the War on Terror.

get my point? probably not.
What point? That your country would prefer a spineless follower like Kerry instead of a strong & dedicated leader like GW Bush?

i pity the US so much that they have to choose between those two...so many people, and they are the best both parties can come up with?

maybe bush is dedicated, but strong?
if he wasn't a war-president, he'd be fucked. plain and simple.
