yea, somethings wrong there man, what volts are you running that DDR? DDR memory is pretty intolerant to high voltages.

266 - 333 Samsung works great (mostly)
ddr400 I've had no luck at all with that.

come to think of it, my friend did have a problem with samsung being unstable at the rated settings in his PIV rig, and it did eventually bite it. Corsair and Micron worked fine.

running 2.5 mostly. It got unstable so I uped it to 2.65
I was running it on a sis chipset though, with a P4-2.4and the whole
board crapped out eventually. AX45-8XN
