What with all the so-called 'studies' the current admin does...
they need to study which kind of psychotherapist are needed for different conditions,
instead of the current on size fits all approach.
Even in the rest of the medical field they mostly have 'specialist'.
Why not in the psychotherapy field?

um, there is plenty of specialization in psych. perhaps the "doctors" at the state-run institution you encounter are just generalist losers.

gotta travel 50 miles or more for in-patient, and then it isn't worth a crap.
I think they even closed that facility, so I do know how far one would have to travel now.
Plenty of substance abuse centers though.
Seems it's all about the money imho.
