Us Calgarians have been lucky the past week.

We got a nice chinook in and it's been in the early +'s...

I hear we're getting a cold front in again on sunday though... so I'll gloat while I can!

i was walking around barefoot in my yard earlier....had to come in though...my toes were getting chilly....

I'm probably alone here in that I want a nasty cold snap to shoot through here as it will kill off a great deal of flies and mosquitos.

you still have mosquitos? ours are long gone....but we spray because of west nile...it's all over the place.

-21 would indeed be cold enough. I've experienced -35 once. It wasn't so much cold as it was a burning sensation. You can keep it.

Yeah... still have some bugs. Not nearly as many up and running about right now. What I'm concerned about is all of the dormant larvae all over the place. It takes a good cold snap to wipe most of that out so that the spring doesn't become a mass bug-plosion.
