The beloved pre-ordered.

Yesterday she got all clumsy and took a header
on some stairs scraping her knee and spraining her ankle.
(she'll be OK)
So she's sending me and the boy down to Barnes and Noble to get the book.
I'm wondering if their will be a line and all.

They went on sale 5 hours earlier in Britlandia. I wonder if it took more than 90 minutes for the first scanned copy to appear on the web.

You're going to have to wait for a response most likely. Anyone that would get a book at 12:01 is surely also the same kind of person that would sit down and read it until their brain explodes at dawn. I wouldn't expect a bleary red-eyed response until 2pm or so.

Zzzzzzzz oh Hi!

Yeah it was actually fun!
The place was mobbed.
Me Kid met 7 kids that he'd gone to school with.
On kid had dropped by earlier in the day to get a
ticket she got #65 we got #370.
I got to read lots of 'mens' magazines while waiting.
When they got close to calling our number
I looked around to find him and sure enough he was chattin' up some young honey.
She graduated from the goils part of the school he attended.
His introduction was, Dad this is Lauren
Her grades were opposite of mine.
(His GPA was 3.66 unweighted.)
She's attending Yale in the fall. heh heh
I guess she had some 4.3 kinda thing.
Funny, we also saw a 'nuther one of the goils he knew.
I remarked.
"Ya know it's a shame she's so hot but so dense"!
Guess nerds and gurls were the order of the day.

It was fun though, the store had employees in costume
'Hagrid' was my favorite.
One female employee was running round doing a Harry Potter trivia contest.

I enjoyed the 'event'. When we arrived home the beloved
took the book and said "oh great thanks -- I'm going to bed, Zzzzzz". Sad thing is I was considering reading this book, but then I thought heck I've only watched the movies so if I were to read this book I'd have to start with the book for the movie due out in Nov. (the fourth one right?) then I'd prolly have to read the fifth book
then this one (6th). (wifely has all of them around here somewhere)
Oh crap I ain't gettin' hooked in to that,
I'll wait until the movies come out!
I thought the kids playing the three main characters would
be getting long in tooth by 08 but they will all just be turning 18 by then?

So alls ya gotta have is a measly billion bucks to
be the richest person in Britain?

Got one reserved up at Town Center for my niece. I can't get up there, though, since a wreck currently has 75 Northbound shut down.

Too cute for words
Dara picked up her pre-ordered copy an hour or so ago.

I'll be done reading it before next weekend.

Got a copy. I need to start at the beginning of this series, since V2.0 is making noises about wanting us to read it to him.
