Some of what? The muscle cars, or the 20-sided fuzzy dice?

You've known me how long ... and you ask a question like that? I'm shocked. I'm offended. I'm flabbergasted. (hey, when's the last time you got to use flabbergasted in a sentence?) I'm dismayed.

would someone please inform Mr. Inkara1 what I meant.

Got to test-drive a 2008 Charger this weekend. Caught MrsBish's eyes and kept them to the point where she's seriously considering one.

We also looked at the Vibe, the Matrix and a few mid-sized cars..but her eyes kept travelling back to the Charger.

Wo0t..a midlife-crisis mobile PLUS a 5 passenger car with a big-ass trunk. :D

Black with a white hood.

Avoid cars by the Swiss, Because.... Wait the swiss make cars?

I suggest stick with Fords, Chevys, chrysler. although imports are longlasting, they fall apart. for me i am a strict American car person. and i don't mean new cars made in china, i mean 1973 Buick century GS. my Daily driver now-a-days is the Ford "Danger" from 1987. EFI is nice, that is why i got it. Had too many problems with Carbs laitly.

That's a useless road, chummer. Every car has someone who gripes about it. Every car has gotten rave reviews from whatever mag it paid advertising in. Even the best made cars will produce a weak one, and even the most pathetic factory can produce a gem. The best you can do is ask how much it'll cost over the next X years. As you've jsut found out, it matters not how good the car is initially, but how much it'll cost to fix when it does go tits up. My battered old pickup can do a full engine swap in under 4 hours. You're looking 11 hours just to pull the heads on your van. GM just hit the table with a zero cost maintenance for three years deal (TV last night, can't remember the channel).

I've had really good luck with returned leases. Our transport and the missus' malibu were like that. with both, I paid a little more to bring the extended warranty up equal to what I'd get standard with a new car. Still came in well under new car list ... and the cars were as clean as new, not a mark on either. But both had a good initial shake down period on someone else`s dime.

Last dealer I spoke with said something similar. "Don't buy new..let someone else get the new car headaches and loss on value"

I figured that I'd get something like "Don't buy a Chrystler cause parts are going to be a bitch to find in about 3 years... something along those lines, as opposed to a love letter/Dear John letter type of review.

Chrysler parts aren't going to be scarce anytime soon, particularly for their bigger engines, and most Charger parts straight swap with the 300 and Magnum. Loads of inventory there. They consolidated their powerplants not too long ago, as did GM, so parts for one car fit a dozen others. Chrysler isn't going to vanish before you're ready to trade up again. You might want to take a look at the magnum before that disappears, tho.

See the Magnums every day...our Salesmobiles. There are 5 in the lot this morning.
Looks large enough. Will look up consumption rates.

black with a white hood? that seems kinda... opposite

Usually they do the black hood because it gives you less glare on the sunny day... I've never seen a car with a white hood that wasn't also white on the sides.

 - I didn't build it. The hood wasn't all white..just a wide stripe down the middle. Had striping down the sides. Altogether a nice looking car tho'

Prof: Not as easy to find used as the Charger or 300 tho'
