They more often play Cuban players. They purchase them from Castro. :eh:

It would be nice to have a true World Series for baseball like the World Cup (but less nationalistic). And unlike the Olympics it should include only professional teams from democratic countries, not show teams designed to increase the prestige of dictatorships.

i like the ravens. because i'm near baltimore, and they wear some of my favorite colors. and are called "the ravens".

The Twins were soooooo close to playing in the world series, but they didn't make it :headbang:
 
Baseball is just a reminder of how bad of a sports town we are outside of football (not this year, damn Shoop and injuries :mad: ) and MJ. Combine the Cubs and Sox, you've got almost 180 straight years of losing, and it doesn't look like it'll end anytime soon. The Blackhawks haven't won the cup in 40 years either. :(

Only reason I knew it ,was they had the game on in the staff room at work,otherwise I don't follow it either.
