Debris might be a better word. The trouble is that its coming right back to Earth and probably going to smack into Australia just like Skylab did. Then it becomes litter.
 
In keeping in line with the throw the Pirus outta the shuttle
the article sez the guy throwin' the two objects will only be able to impart about one mile per hour and the link currently shows the ISS to be 205 miles up and the
space junk (not litter til it re-enters and impacts the terra firma) will take a year to hit the atmosphere

and the beat goes on on on
