Arafat may allow peace

Hey Hex, we're getting closer.
PARIS - It appears likely Yasser Arafat has leukemia, a Palestinian official said Saturday, as specialists in the blood cancer ran tests on the ailing Palestinian leader at a French military hospital.

As of five minutes ago, it's being reported Arafat is in a coma & not expected to survive. I have to grimly admit & I am quite pleased with this news.

I'm not. For all his faults, he did have influence and control of most of the radicals. He had an agenda, and a goal, and worked towards that. Without him, the rule book goes out the window. It's everyone for themselves, and the Devil take the hindmost.

I firmly believe that 40 years of Palestinian hardship can be directly attributed to Yassir Arafat.

I still can't find proof positive. One things for sure, i don't think many 75 year olds in his condition return from a comatose state.

He must not be dead yet. Drudge isn't saying he's dead, and that guy jumps on top of news like that. As soon as someone--anyone--reports his death, you'd think Drudge would have it on top of the site faster than a fat kid on his way to the buffet.

The contrary point being that only one doctor has diputed the fact that he's dead. If he were alive we'd have seen a flurry of French physicians come forth by now to get press coverage.

The missing link here is...The PA has already determined they would not announce his death for 72 hours, giving them time to set event in motion since there is no legal groundwork for a PA power transfer.

I believe that he died (or is being kept alive artificially) & that is an unintentional leak.
