As clear as it gets...

I think they've found what they were after. Maybe not as much as predicted but they found some. Since SpecOps guys tend to be lifers, they are guarding it & not talking. It is now being tested. They're being thorough so it may take some time to get the results back. So much time in fact that the lot found last May or July or October won't be fully analyzed until say the beginning of the Democrat convention.

Top that off with the DNA evidence from that captured (or found dead) guy in Afganistan getting returned after Labor Day, when the great unwashed traditionally begin paying attention to the race.

So what your saying is they're sitting on it until it will do the most good for Dubya in the election, just so we're clear. Fine, I'll be waiting.

It politics. I don't find it offensive, well, I do find it offensive and I find it understandably politically expedient. Dubya stuck his neck out on this & every wanna-be hack has taken a swing or three. He wants to be damned sure when he says we have them it's going to cost somebody for his "pain & suffering". I question my convictions on this because he won't take a stand against the Democrats anywhere else.

With or without WMDs, I believe we did the right thing taking out saddam & his butcher sons. The world is safer & fighting terrorism on their soil beats fghting it on ours. If it comes to pass that we don't have them I will say I was wrong but I will not apologize for my beliefs.
 
your right in that Iraq is safer from Sadam but the world? he didnt try anything militarily since Kuwait did he? and nobody is asking you to apologise for your beliefs just as you have not asked anyone to. but to take what is being said by our leaders with some salt. not to believe everything they do is right. at least thats how I feel I cannot and will not speak for Squiggs or chcr

Damn right. I don't argue because I agree with what Saddam did, I am glad he is no longer in power. I argue because I feel that it was done because of a hidden agenda and we were given a pack of lies and expected not to challenge the nice men in government.

The problem is imho that it is now too late for Bush and Blair to say they did it for humanitarian reasons. If that had been their primary reason I would have supported them all the way. The fact is that they tried to make us think it was for our own good because this big, nasty man in Iraq was going to kill us if we didn't get him first and it has so far been proved to be a lie.

That's what it takes to forge evidence? 1 1/2 year? I said it whithin 3 months after the invasion: they didn't find because it was't there. And even if it appears now, nobody with a single stain of reason would believe it. :shrug:

It doesn't take that long to forge the evidence, that's just when the forged evidence will make the best impact on the reelection campaign.
 
i think tony blair might need it a bit sooner than that, he's not looking brilliantly clever at the moment.
