I've checked the temperature of my new Athlon in the BIOS

It's holding steady at:

system temp 42C
cpu surface temp 41C
cpu core temp 53 - 54C maybe this will drop over the next couple of days with the AS3.... I'll have to wait and see.

Sandra and Hardware Doctor are obviously picking up the surface temperature as I don't have an independent probe installed - thinks "I should get one".

Not considring it sort of sticks to everything if you're not careful with it. Christ, I even found some on my nose!
