How many cases simply walked it off? Completely unknown, unmentionned, and probably hundreds of times the identified cases.

Unlikely... most people who catch a flu that hits this badly go and see a doc about it.

If its something that kills...its not something that can be considered just an annoyance. That and, if you caught a flu in an area where the bird-flu was killing people...would you take a chance? If your kids caught it?

it still seems more hype than anything to me at this point. especially since news reports about it early on specifically mentioned Tamiflu as a way to combat it.
