Bored to death...how important is YOUR telephone number?

Chicago used to just have one area code: 312 (equals 6, VERY important :p )

Now the following area codes are in use in the Chicago area besides 312 (which is for the Loop exclusively now) :
708
773
847 (my current area code, 19)
630
224 (brand new, I don't know if there's even any numbers in it yet)

The suburbs aren't important enough. :(

Hey, yeah we DO outnumber them, area code wise. :D Hell, we'll throw in 815 which is basically anything west of Elgin or south of Joliet, that'll increase our food production by about 100000% for our army. :D

Used to be 403 = 17
But now it's 780 = 25!

Hmm... we here in Deadmonton got demoted somehow.....

Ku'u, may I borrow your tank when you're done?

Mine is 559, which adds up to 19. That's a move up in importance, though, as there was an area code split a few years back. Stockton residents got to keep their crappy 209 area code (21) and we had to switch all of our stationery and whatnot to match the new, more important area code.

I know this is an OOOooold thread, but a spider was searching so I'll bump it and post.

Let's see, I'm a 918 = 18. :(
Oklahoma has two other area codes
580 = 23
405 = 19

I don't think the NANP orders by city importance anymore now that touch tones are in all but 1% of homes...
