it is a shame he died. He was an awesome actor and an inspiration too.

I was shocked when I first heard it. He will definitely be missed, but never forgotten.

Before anyone joins a cause, it's got to be presented to them. Before Reeve started his efforts, stem-cell research wasn't talked about in water-cooler conversations or in the press. He might not have cared before, but I think that he more than made up for it.
