Clinton Wants Change in Presidential Term Limits

Former President Bill Clinton said on Wednesday Congress should change the rule that barred him from seeking a third term in the White House, but stopped short of saying he wants to return as commander-in-chief.
Speaking at the John F. Kennedy Library and Museum here, Clinton questioned certain aspects of the 22nd Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, which prevents a person from being elected president more than twice.

Clinton said the amendment, passed after Franklin D. Roosevelt was elected to a record fourth term, should be changed simply to keep a person from being elected to more than two consecutive terms as president.

"I think since people are living much longer ... the 22nd Amendment should probably be modified to say two consecutive terms instead of two terms for a lifetime," Clinton said.

The former president said such a change probably wouldn't apply to him but would benefit future generations.

The scary thing is that, after everything he did, he's as popular now as he ever was. If he ran, he'd likely win a landslide.

And we wonder why the average US citizen is laughed at around the world. Obviously, he's an idiot.

Yeah... half the US population can't locate the US on a world map (or some ridiculously high percentage). Kinda throws the whole notion of "popular vote" into a tailspin.

This whole thing that Americans are ignorant is a big joke. Last time my Canadian friend traveled abroad with me so many people called us Americans. Ignorance, I tell ya.

Now Billy boy is an interesting person. I think he is smart, but this statement is just stupid:

I think part of the reason why he wants this is because if he hadn't been president for 8 years, he would have been the Democratic Party's best bet. The Democrats have some real issues. None of the what, nine, people? are attracting too much attention. Clinton is so much more interesting than the rest of the Democrats.

I'll give that till the end of the summer....unless he finds another war to divert our attentions.
