So what do you collect?

My main thing right now is model cars. More racing that just every day cars. I'd say more than 50% of my collection is F1.

Star Wars stuff, not to make money off of it but just beacause I was a Star Wars child and have always loved it.

I've still got binders filled with hockey and baseball cards from about 10 years ago.

I don't really collect anything...

Nor do I unless you count useless old computer parts. The dust bunnies, however, do have a nascent civilization under my desk. That's a collection, kind of...

I seem to collect all kinds of odd things. Any body else have an antique paint can shaker from the 40's? I have a boatload of antique tools. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 200 1/24th scale NASCAR diecast cars. Baseball hats, coffee cups and some assorted NASCAR paraphenalia including a #6 Mark Martin Viagra computer mouse.

Before our house burned down, I collected a lot of things.

Between my wife and I, we had all of Stephen King's books except five. Now, we have maybe six and no real desire to go get them all again.

I had a mammoth KISS collection, mostly irreplaceable. Now I have one autographed publicity photo (thanks again Tonks! You rock!)

I had over 2100 vinyl LPs; I did not buy a replacement turntable.

I had all the James Bond movies except three; now I have one or two and likely that's all I'll replace.

I am rebuilding my CD collection. It was over 700; I have about half that many back.

I had all the Foxfire books. I now have them all again.

I had an extensive library of Appalachian folklore and history books. I have replaced maybe a third of them. I have replaced and expanded my War of Northern Aggression library and shall continue to do so; SOMEBODY has to keep Gonz in line. And I have about half the hiking guides/trail maps/etc that I owned pre-fire. These need frequent (as in every five years or so) replacing anyway due to trail reroutes, closures/openings, and naturally occurring changes to the terrain (floods, storm damage, whatever).

I still haven't replaced my Texas Rangers jersey or my Mike Alstott Tampa Bay Bucs jersey. Should A-Train make the Hall of Fame, I plan to be there for his induction, and hopefully get my new one autographed as well.

I have some old audio equipment that's pretty cool to play with, although mostly in not great condition and worth little.

I collect ducks. Used to be dolphins, but when my curio cabinet got literally full, ducks started taking over my bathroom.

Couldn't find half a square foot in the kitchen for it?

In all honesty, nope. The kitchen is intolerably small.

The house was built in 1994 for a couple who had no kids. They made it so that it was comfortable for them. We've found after a little over a year that four people kind of have to work it out. I'm not at home much anyway (still living on campus) so I don't mind it being in there.

Was the shower line already yellow when you moved in?... or was it something you put in to make the place all the more ducky?
