Confused about tipping!!!

Excepting wait staff who get screwed by gov't policy (lowered wage rate), why should any of these people get tipped? Isn't their job to do this service? Why aren't I getting tipped for not killing a van full of nuns on a rainy day? Shouldn't Prof get a tip for making the computer work properly? Inky's story included Bob SMiths name, twice, where's his tip?

Do your job to the best of your ability & expect nothing more than you bargained for.
 
Hmm, lemme see, I usually tip for fast food delivery, good waitress service, helpful taxi drivers and if I like the efforts of my hairdresser. If there is a service charge added to the bill I don't.

Tipping as far as I'm concerned is for service that goes beyond what you would reasonably expect to receive.
