Do you like anime?

i like evangelion very much, and there are a few others that are very nice, but i'm easily bored with it :)
 
I generally like it. I don't speak Japanese, however, and I find a lot of the Americanized dialogue to be incredibly lame. My son, who does speak some Japanes, says it's not that way in Japanese. I prefer subtitles to English dialogue. I haven't really watched a great deal, but what I've seen I've usually enjoyed.

i really like it. but one thing that bothers me, there are quite a few that i thought started out as just an american cartoon (speed racer, transformers, and a few others) that have since became anime. is this true?
 
Speed Racer was Japanese originally (I used to watch it as a kid in the '60s, the voice dubbing was a joke). Don't know about Transformers, though, but I always assumed they were.

for the most part no. its the other way around. Yu Gi Oh, Pokemon, Speed Racer,Sailor Moon were all Japanese
 
hmmm, i guess they looked anime, went to an english look and then back to anime then? very strange.
I still like them but now i feel so violated :D

they never werent anime they were changed before they came here thats all. you can still get the Mangas imported.
