My point is that quitting your job to live of the gov't is not glamorous.

and that certainly is true.

i'm actually thinking of quitting my job/career for creative pursuits for a year or so, but i won't be taking anyone else's money. but, then, most that have witnessed my creativity have offered the sage advice "don't quit your day job."
