Is there anything that you need for your house that you keep forgetting to get every time you go to the store but it's not a big enough deal to make a special trip for it?

I need 2 AAA batteries for my DVD remote. I have needed AAA batteries for the remote for literally YEARS but I forget every time I go to the store. When I need my DVD remote I take the batteries out of my TV remote and use those.

So, what is the item that you need but always forget to get and how long have you been forgetting to get it?
 
I used to have a severe shortage of batteries... Then I got a box for a birthday or something like that, and ever since, I don't use any batteries. :tardbang: all my stuff has rechargeable batteries now. (iPhone, iPad, mouse, laptops, etc)
 
Hmmm... you got the Old Timers. ;)

I don't go to the store unless I have a list. The list comes off the refrigerator door and when I think of something I need I put it on the list. I live by lists, otherwise I would not get anything done.
 
If you want to waste money, go to the store for lots of little things. You'll spend more money & have fewer goods.

As Val says, make a list. Go, shop well, spend $300. & don't go back for a month. Stop at 7-11 for milk & go to the bread store (it tastes better)
 
I've added the batteries to my shopping list for tomorrow. If they sell them at the grocery store I might actually end up getting them...FINALLY!
 
I never forget anything. I have an automated reminding system in the house that can't be disabled. At least not legally.
 
Well, I finally remembered the AAA batteries. I expect it was because if I had to come back here and report that I had forgotten them AGAIN the shame would be too much to bear. All remotes now have their own batteries and I have two extra AAAs for when a set goes dead.
 
OTC has been a lot of things over the years, but I can't recall the last time it was somebody's shopping list :beerbang:
 
I keep a pad a writing utensil hand all the time.
I have all kinds of lists.
My memory is pretty good these days, but if one writes something down,
even if you forget the list, many times it sets it's self in the subconscious that way.

imo the same kinda thing just happened in this thread.
 
I hate my cell-phone's calendar option.. cheap and damned near impossible to update properly, but until I can get my PalmPilot to work again, the cell phone beeping reminds me of stuff.

I don't like mine either but I don't want to carry around a Palm Pilot as well as my work cell phone and my personal cell phone. Too much baggage to carry around and I am a small purse kinda gal. No big grandma purses for me, thank you.
 
I only have one cel... but a Blackberry would be a nice middle-ground. Something I could link to Outlook, update tasks, calendar, contacts and still talk on...and still be reasonably priced/month.

D'ya hear that the iPad monthly rate for Canada is: $35/mo just for the 3G link (limited up/down). Add to that cel-phone rates...feh!

Did I mention the beeper as well? Yeah, a company cell phone AND a beeper. I'm also on call this week. Sucks, but I rarely have anything break on me.

Not getting an "i" anything, thank-you-very-much. I like my devices non-proprietary. :D
 
Why would there be cellphone rates on an ipad? It is not a cellphone...

I have been shopping for a new phone. I will be getting an iphone, trying to hold out until the new one is announced/released. I have a blackberry for work and I do not enjoy it. I don't find it very functional and definitely not intuitive. Whereas, 5min after picking up a friend's iphone I was using it without issue.
 
A friend of mine got rid of his iphone and got a Nokia N97 instead. I don't know what motivations he had, but I do know that he is happy with his current phone.

1 - That's obviously based on an OLD school iphone, one that couldn't record video.

2 - Some people like different things. The person who wrote that obviously does not enjoy any Apple products. That's fine, something else works for him more. I find Apple products to be easy to use and versitile. Maybe it's because just about 2 years ago I went through the PAINFUL learning curve of learning to use my Macbook. At times I wanted to throw it out the window of my 17th floor apartment. After I got over that though, I began to find it very easy and enjoyable to use. I even found that I was better able to navigate my ipod. I guess I think like a mac user now. I had an ipod for a few years before getting my Macbook. I tried (and returned) other MP3 players first, but none of them were as intuitive or easy to use as the ipod. I'm now on ipod #3 (due to theft of the previous two, not breaking or battery dying).
