Gas Prices - how are they where you are?

3 days ago, QT had it marked at 2.09. I couldn't believe it.
I filled up then. It still was $50 to fill it up. :alienhuh:
Today the've got it marked at 2.24. :D

If I had a full-size V8 van, I'd expect $50 fill-ups. But I only bought about 11 gallons of gas, and it came out to just over $30.

I filled up for 2.17 yesterday, same station today is 2.19. NOw I happen to know that this station gets their gas delivery on Monday, so what am I to conclude from this? Oh yeah, it's the weekend and they're right by the freeway.

oh,...I converted the volume, but for got the trade issue. :lol2:

but, yeah, that's still crazy high.

The smart money says taxes are the difference.
YOu'd be pretty much right on the ball. Non-percentage taxes on gas...that is, doesn't matter what the cost of gas is, there will always be $x/liter which is tax.

Filled up in Chateagay NY for $2.24/gallon on Saturday. Not damn bad at all :)

I was just in town, and the price lacked 1/10 of a cent being 2.50/gal.
Man I can't afford gas for my riding mower if this keeps up. :disgust2:

The cheapest places in town--Circle K, Stagecoach Liquor, places like that--are at $2.699 or higher. I filled the tank with Chevron a few days ago and it was at $2.759.

What I want to know is, wtf are the futures traders doing? We actually have a surplus of gasoline & crude in the US & still it hit $67./bbl. Somebody is manipulating the market.

Hey Gonz, what's Diesel #2 running over there? It's around $3.23 a gallon out here. And is Diesel #2 what your truck uses?
