Yesterday while going over the hardware requirements for Vista
it struck me. XP will be on its way out this year there are
a ca-ba-zillion users still on various forms and versions of Win98!

I am already making plans to replace all my hardware and learn
a whole new operating system and these folks are worried about
whether they can keep their four plus year old installations of 98 goin'

I'm really excited about the direction Intel is taking on their processor
roadmap for the desktop but my wallet is going to squeal like a
Catholic schoolgirl in the back seat of mommies SUV onna Saturday night.

That's because I'm tired of being a Micro$oft beta tester. I have a copy of XP, but now it's not worth it to install because Vista is on the horizon.

I feel the same way about AMD...if only they had deeper pockets.
