In my state anyway.
Nope, pull a gun on me, and you die. Pull a knife, and you die. Attack me hand to hand, and you will get hurt.PuterTutor said:I don't think you should have to wait until you are shot to be able to defend yourself.

The laws are corrupt. They try to protect the criminal.MitchSchaft said:Attack me hand to hand
Depending on how small you are and how big the attacker is, that would constitute deadly force in some states, including mine. Shooting somebody in a simple fight isn't right, but if it were life/death situation...

Also, a criminal does have rights. They have the right to a trial where they will be correctly punished. Killing someone vigalante (sp?) style for stealing your car isn't right.
yes i do puter i hate it when people blame something like shit when the real problem is the perpatrator of the crime. the criminal is the one who should get the blame but people will say that they victim went too far when he shot the guy with an arrow. im sorry but the only other place ive ever seen such bullshit is in the great plains and ive never been there. dont blame guns dont blame arrows dont blame the weapons blame the criminal.freako, correct me if I'm wrong, but you have some strong feelings on this issue, huh?
If not, then the bow-hunter is in serious trouble.
But the rest of the US isn't Texas (thank God).MitchSchaft said:If not, then the bow-hunter is in serious trouble.
He's in the right according to Texas law. Gun or no gun.

Amendment VIII
Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.
Victim of bow-arrow shooting is identified
A would-be car thief who died after he was shot in the buttocks by the vehicle owner using a bow and arrow has been identified as Bryant Keith Kay, age and address unknown.
Kay died Friday at Memorial Hermann Hospital, a few hours after he was struck with the arrow in the 9500 block of East Mount Houston Road.
The owner of the car said he was hunting when he found Kay in the vehicle, then shot him when Kay got out and pointed something at the hunter.
