Yeah, "because I said so" is a sort of second-to-last resort... the last resort being a world of hurt. That's used for "why should I do X" instead of a general thing like, say, "Question... why is it that they say you're taking a dump when you're not actually taking it anywhere and in fact, you're leaving it?"
