PT, please feel free to hang out at any of the other sites frequented by our absentees.

You others ... PuterTutor was one of the founding members of this place. One of the people who's posts made this place what is was them, a premier hotspot on the web. That you so casually dismiss his contributions shows that you haven't a clue as to their value ... and probably don't have what it takes to match or replace them.

When I look back at the list of friends who've walked away from this place because of the petty bickering ... frankly, I'm disgusted. I'm disgusted with what this place has become, what we've allowed it to degrade to. There's no joy, no pleasure anymore. No fun. Every post, no matter what, swiftly degrades into a lib/con spitting match. If that's the best you people can do .. you have my pity.
 
The long list of those walking away from OTC is frightening, and a pure reflection of how healthy or sick this board has become.

I'll miss you, PT..the same as I miss Squigs. Core member, hellova nice guy, opinionated but secure enough in his own mind to keep it civil.

Buddy helped build this place. I don't blame him for not wanting to stay and watch the place crumble.
 
Back to the thread at hand. It's unlikely that anything that we do will drag back PT or Squigs.... but how can we lessen the impact on current users to keep'em here, and perhaps convince others to came have a look'see.

I have an email for both, and a personal contact with Squigs.
Not sure if PT would reply to an email from me..perhaps. :shrug:

Squigs is out of the bulletin board game everywhere for other reasons which I'd rather not discuss in-thread.
 
I haven't been back to hardwarecentral in many a year. But I know it's still there for me. That place and this are the only boards I ever really participated in.

I managed to acquire Squigg's email recently...I received a reply to my first email but have heard nothing from my second. I don't think he even spends much time on the computer anymore...he has some new hobbies.

I am going to have to check if I have an email for PT...I sure hope I do :mope:
