Maybe you should have a talk with your allergies and pickles, I'm sure there must be a way for them all to just get along.
 
It is indeed the vinegar component as all commercial vinegar is derived from corn... which I am allergic to. Vingear made from other sources are always disclosed because they are more expensive to make and therefore a strong selling point: e.g. rice, balsamic, and cider vinegars.
