I quit smoking today...

Still a non-smoker & still awaiting the good part of quitting

LOL, my mom finally quit a bit more than a year ago -- after having a mini-stroke -- and recently, her healthy tastebuds grew back. she was eating ketchup, and when she was a smoker, she never realized how much flavor it had!
she was feeling a little bitter before then, because food-tasting-better was one of the perks-of-not-smoking i kept telling her about when she was quitting, and it took a long time for it to actually happen.

Re: smoke em if you got em

I can't recommend Champix/Chantix enough.

It's been almost a year and it's been really super close to painless. I am sooo happy!

I gave up on trying to quit for a while.
it just made me smoke more.

I'm waiting for the e-cig.

Glad you got off...but I hear some mighty scary things about Champix... :erm:

Only reason I'd want to quit is to get to see my as of yet
unborn grand-daughter become a smokin' hawt teenager.
Hmmm lemme do the maths on that one.

So Gonz what yer sayin’ here is that you’ve gone thru 60+ months of Hell since you’ve stopped suckin’ on the fags?

If I died tonight no one would miss me, why should I make my life on earth
a living Hell, as I’m sure to spend eternity in Hades anyway?

Because I'm not paying their BS fine.

although, perhaps living hell was stretching it. I haven't noticed improvement in my health or any other functions.
