Its oh so quiet...

The bread/cornflakes are filler and add to the cohesion along with the eggs. Without those two, your meatballs will simply fall apart.

WTF? No one else is using cornflakes and no one else has said theirs fall apart. Cornflakes have SUGAR in them, so I don't wanna use them. :grumpy:

Oh... I'm a crankypants this morning.

Try making balls of meat without eggs and breadcrumbs as the concrete/binder. You'll see what I mean :D

I think she means can she just use breadcrumbs instead of the flakes and the answer is yes. I am imaging the flakes give a nice taste though...too bad Rob's allergic.

Yes, that is what I meant, and I thought I was being pretty clear.

edit: i.e. if you use cornflakes, remove the crumbs, or ... don't use the cornflakes at all as the sugar-load is hideous.

Are you thinking regular flakes or frosted flakes? It's been so long since I looked at regular flakes but I didn't think it was so much sugar.

I dunno. They're all sugary. The normal non-frosted are really sweet (from my "kid" memory), so my adult tastes would probably find them way too sweet.

Read too fast
..thought you meant to remove both breadcrumbs and cornflakes.
