Lord of the Rings

Shadowfax

mod cow
Anybody else already bought the DVD?
I pre-ordered the DVD a few months ago so it would get delivered on the release date :D

Yeah, I liked the movie! ;)
Yeah, I liked the books (maybe even more than the movie)
Yeah, I'm a freak.

No, I'm not ashamed. I'm Shadowfax. I'm fast, I'm a stallion! :headbang:

OK, nevermind the last part :D

We're waiting until all three are released in a box set with buttloads of extras.

Damn right! The movie was good, but it doesn't come up to the book. Can't.

No, I'm not ashamed. I'm Shadowfax. I'm fast, I'm a stallion! :headbang:

And you'd let Ian McKellan ride you hard?? :p

OMG! I never thought about that

*puke*

I'm really whish I didn't make that comment...my intention was waaay different I can assure you!

*laughs at own stupid mistake nevertheless* :D

i'm not buying this one, i will buy the one that's going to be released in november (with way more features than this one).

i rather download the divx movie, and then spend my money on the "real dvd".

I already had the 2 CD screener...great quality!

But I'm a freak. I want it all! And I had the money ;)

lol, well i don't see a reason to own two copies of the same movie.......
but anyway, it's your money ;)

brainsoft's mom bought the VHS version. I absolutely LOVED the movie when I saw it. Have still not even finished reading the Hobbit (got that and the boxed set fo books for Christmas last year but haven't had time to read). I am planning to finish the Hobbit and hopefully atleast the first book of the trilogy on my 24 hour drive to newfoundland and my 24hr drive back!

We were just watching the Lord of the Rings DVD downstairs - with Mufu's new surround-and-round-and-round-and-round sound.
It blows your fucking ears off!!!!!!!!

And Shadow...freaks are the best!
:headbang:

You can read in a car? Man, I envy you. I'd be puking after the first mile.

Take the time. The Hobbit is nothing but foreplay. The Trilogy is the real shit.

lol, I have the 2 screener too. I still have a LotR wallpaper since 6 month now (I usually change around monthly), but I don't have enough money to be a real freak...

I'm reading the books now (only on Tome 1 now ), I was stuck between Dragonlance and homework for the last year, and LotR is something a fantasy freak like me wouldn't miss. I'm waiting for the trilogy to hit on DVD before I buy the movie though, the DivX screener is pretty good nonetheless.

BTW, Tom Bombadil rules :D :headbang:

I have it already on two CDs, very, very high quality. I will buy this DVD:

B000067DNF.01.LZZZZZZZ.jpg

Amazon.com: http://www.amazon.com/o/ASIN/B000067DNF/ref=cm_custrec_gl_rec/102-7349255-0928137

Price: $25.99
Release Date: November 12, 2002

That price is the best. I mean, there are 4 DVDs in there! And it will have 6.1 DTS EX sound.

And it has 30 min. of new scenes :headbang:

This movie has some of the best surround sound IMO, so listening it with a DD/DTS setup is truly making it justice...

HomeLAN: Yup, I can read in the car!

brainsoft also has a DVD rip of the movie for his computer (super high quality). We were going ot watch that tonight but I thought it was too late to start watching such a long movie so we started watching some other movie that i forget the name of and I was asleep within 10min anayway!

Yeah, true. Had to have my ears re-attached a little bit. :)

We're doing a little renovation around here, and my speakers aren't fully installed yet...I'm waiting until they're fully installed, and then I'm gonna bother those neighbours....a LOT!

Oh, and Tom Bombadil really rules! :headbang:
