Four 'foreign nationals' gunned down in Iraq

31/03/2004 - 10:18:38 AM

At least four people, thought to be foreign nationals, were killed when their vehicles came under fire in the Iraqi town of Fallujah today.

Eye witnesses said angry crowds dragged the bodies through the streets, dismembered them and hanged some of the mutilated corpses.

The attack happened at about the same time as a bomb exploded under a US military in the Fallujah region, killing five soldiers.

It was not known whether the two incidents were related.

The gunmen attacked the civilians as they drove by in two civilian 4x4 cars in Fallujah.

The occupants of the cars were killed and their vehicles were set on fire.

Footage from Associated Press Television News showed a charred body of one of the dead men, and the vehicles in flames nearby. Some of the men were wearing flak jackets, said Safa Mohammedi, a resident.

Another resident, Abdul Aziz Mohammed, said angry crowds dragged the bodies through the streets, dismembered them and hanged some of the mutilated corpses.

“The people of Fallujah hanged some of the bodies on the old bridge like slaughtered sheep,” Mohammed said. “I saw it myself.”

One resident displayed what appeared to be dog-type tags taken from one body. Residents also said there were weapons in the targeted cars.

The explosive device that killed the American soldiers blew up when their vehicle ran over it in the Fallujah area, US Army Colonel Jill Morgenthaler said in Baghdad.

VERY VERY graphic photos

holy shit
i saw the picture of the dead/burned man onthe street, and it didnt even look vaguely identifiable as anything that could ever have been human.

Dispicable. But you do realize that the insurgents (or thugs or whomever) that killed those people were even more delighted with the fact that the mob debauchery after was being filmed and americans would soon be seeing it and have one big collective KILL EM ALL! mentallity regarding iraqis. (Very few americans understand the distinction between the suni triangle (and more specifically the faluga) population and the other millions of less then hostile Iraqis). Not only did they score american deaths but they got the much bigger and more important bonus of globally infuriating americans enough to want to crack heads and ask questions later. A spark that they would fanatically celebrate if it created fire. So what do you think the best response to this would be children?

a MOAB at the corner of Main & Central? (or whatever name they call the streets that this atrocity happened)

We're 90 days away from handing over their country to them. Official hostilities have ended.

FALLUJAH, Iraq (AP) - A U.S. general vowed an "overwhelming" response to the murder and mutilation of four American contractors, but U.S. troops stayed out of this anti-American city Thursday and fearful Iraqi police took no action.

Residents said they were ready to take on the Americans if they try to enter Fallujah, where schools and shops remained open a day after insurgents ambushed the contractors' SUVs and mobs strung up two of their charred corpses on an iron bridge spanning the Euphrates River.

"We wish that they would try to enter Fallujah so we'd let hell break loose," Ahmed al-Dulaimi said. "We will not let any foreigner enter Fallujah," said Sameer Sami. "Yesterday's attack is proof of how much we hate the Americans."

The more I see & hear the more pissed I get about this crap. I'm beginning to think the general media should have shown the brutality of these barbarians. Maybe people would wake back up. See what factions of the enemy are willing to do. These beasts raped, maimed, tortured, brutalized & murdered for 25 years. It seems they got a taste for it. I think a well placed MOAB, right in the spot that the 10 year old trying to show off, would be worth the cost. Drop it & explain that we, the coalition, are not going to do squat but wall off this cess pool & let them cannibalize each other. Iraqis are good people. These are animals. They deserve nothing better.

Family members and a spokesperson said Thursday that Jerko "Jerry" Zovko, 32, Michael Teague, 38, and Scott Helvenston, 38, died with another civilian Wednesday after they were hit by rocket-propelled grenades in a rebel ambush. The victims worked for Blackwater Security Consulting, one of five subsidiaries of Blackwater USA based in North Carolina.

:eek6: I thought the ground rules were not to post pictures of the atrocities of this 'war'...

What-- you don't like to see your fellow Americans burned alive then their remains desecrated by vicious inhuman scumbags?

"Sometimes I wish that people would take this war more seriously."

Does everyone recognize the enemy? Here's more:

In case you're still not sure--- they're the ones laughing and dancing and celebrating over the charred remains--should I say cremains--of your fellow Infidels.
Don't think it couldn't be you and yours fried to a crisp.
