Is it the spending of federal dollars on these programs that you are opposed to? Or the programs themselves?
I'm opposed to the federal government spending anything that is not expressly mandated to it by the Constitution.
The programs, if needed, can be paid for by the communities that claim to need them. Preferably by religous or private organizations. Americans are a generous bunch.

It was like giving a life time supply of MadDog 20/20 to a wino. Did you help him by doing that? NO. Did it benefit society in anyway? NO. Does he think you are the best person in the world and ready to vote for you? YES.
Well hell... that works for me, because I don't tithe.
However, I do volunteer my time every now and then.
So I understand the life-long welfare problem... and I agree. That's not beneficial, to anyone.
Do you think that education benefits everyone and that it should be paid for through funding by the public?
Nah... winos don't vote. That's a proven fact.
It benefits most everyone. It should not be paid for nor in any way controlled by the federal government. State, county and/or community taxes...not federal.
